Description
Rats, stalkers & construction workers came to life after a suggestion to ‘write about men!’ Spoiler: this is not a book full of smut. In fact there is no smut to be found. It was intended to be funny stories about working in a male environment. Well that was the plan but we all know things don’t always go to plan. Those funny and not so funny stories lead to deeper questioning about how those people in your life can influence you. Do chance meetings nudge you in a different direction or are you where you are supposed to be?
There are literal and figurative rats in this book, plus people that were not rats at all.
Did this book come to be because it was meant to be written? Was it influence or just fate?
Rats, stalkers and construction workers is book two of the ‘Just Me’ series.
Back page blurb –
I knew instantly it was going to end badly, I just didn’t know how badly. I should have trusted my instincts. When something feel wrong, run in the other direction, like the devil is after you, even if it means taking off your heels to do it.
Have you ever wondered if you are where you are supposed to be? If so are you there because it was fate or was it the decisions you have made? Were those decisions purely you or were they somehow shaped by the people who have crossed your path?
Surely the interactions we have at all stages in our lives have an influence on what we do and how we grow as a person but do we consciously allow that to happen? Do we seek out these people or do we meet them by chance?
Could it be the behaviour of the women in the earlier years that laid the foundation for finding a home working in a male environment. For having a small number of friends where the men outnumbered the women? Was it destiny? Are you brave enough to ask those questions? Maybe you don’t care. Or is it that you just don’t want to know?
WARNING – contains mild swearing. If that is not for you do not pass go!
note from the author: Rats was unexpected in more ways than one. A suggestion for a book that I had no intention to write which kept nagging me so I gave it legs not expecting it to get far. It ran but not in a direction I thought it would go. It made it over the finish line easier than I ever considered. I will admit I enjoyed writing it. You won’t learn anything from it, apart from how nutty I am but I hope you enjoy it.
The stories in this book are as I remember them. If you recognise yourself and you remember things differently I mean nothing by it. A lot of time has passed and there are always two sides this is mine!
The digital file format can be uploaded to both iPad and kindle please note it is NOT a pdf file.
